New Business:
Hanson Youth Baseball
Rob O’Brien presented to the committee a pre-application for a request of $75k to help renovate the major league field at the Botieri complex and redesign the parking area for the entire complex.
The renovation of the major league field is cumbersome and requires professional expertise in field construction.  The Hanson Little League has continued to do patch work improvements to this field, but it will no longer work.  It has been over 50 years that work was done on the field and if left alone, it will deteriorate over time and could become a safety concern for players.  This would represent a cost of $60k to renovate.
The parking lot has traditionally been a problem at the complex and with the addition of the new field is becoming a challenge.  It needs to be redesigned for maximum usage; it will not be paved.  This would represent a cost of $15k to redesign.
Motion was made by John Kemmett (1st) and Patty Norton (2nd) to accept the pre-application and for Rob O’Brien to go ahead with the formal application process.  8-0-0.
